Unmanned aircraft is a technological term for a drone. Drones are formally known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or unmanned aircraft systems (UASes). Essentially, a drone is a flying robot that can be remotely controlled or fly autonomously through software-controlled flight plans in their embedded systems, working in conjunction with onboard sensors and GPS.


Drones serve a variety of purposes, such as recreational, photography, commercial and military, their two basic functions are flight and navigation. Drone technology is used in fields as diverse as agriculture, utilities inspection, public safety, search and rescue, mapping and surveying, insurance, mining, real estate, and cinematography.


The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International projected more than 100,000 new jobs will be created in unmanned aircraft by the year 2025.


The average salary range for a Drone Pilot is between INR 444,349 and INR 774,109.
